- Engineered specifically to purge the cooling system before installing new waterless coolant
- Seeks out old coolant and water that remain after draining existing antifreeze/water mixture from an engine
- Especially important to use when block drains are unavailable or cannot be removed Ensures that the final water content after installing Evans Waterless Coolant meets operating limits
- Protects cooling system metals during flush, but is not a substitute for Evans Waterless Coolants
- Ensures peak Waterless Coolant Performance
Evans Prep Fluid is a waterless cooling system flush designed to purge residual water-based coolant remaining in the system after draining out the old coolant. Evans recommends using Prep fluid with any of its Waterless Engine Coolants to minimize the water content of the new fluid after installation. If the water content is not below 3%, the coolant will perform no better than conventional water-based coolant. Prep fluid contains corrosion inhibitors to protect the system during the flush, but does not provide the anti- corrosion and low temperature protection of an Evans Waterless Coolant. Prep Fluid is compatible with all Evans Waterless Coolants and residual Prep Fluid will not compromise anti-corrosion or low temperature protections. After completely draining the radiator, block, and expansion reservoir, close all drains and add enough Prep Fluid to completely fill the system. Run the engine long enough for the thermostat to open and provide complete circulation. Allow engine to cool, drain out the Prep Fluid cooling system before adding Evans Waterless Coolant. Measure the water content as the final step. Evans Coolant Installation Kit, P/N E2197, contains test strips to measure the water content, along with other useful items to guarantee a perfect installation. Made in the USA.
